It's the 1% - 3% probabilities that we all have to worry about, and why I buy insurance!
Watching the tire video reminded my of the time i was following a logging truck in New Hampshire, as a huge chain came flying off the truck as it went around a corner, missing an oncoming car by a second or two.
Or the time my daughter was driving on her leaner's permit when a big buck came running out of the woods, right into the hood of our car.
It's not the 95% we worry about, but when we're the one that gets the lousy 1% hand.
